BOOTCAMP FIEA ART BOOTCAMP is an intense 8 week period at the beginning of the program where all artist will attend and learn material from each of our various art tracks. Artist will learn about 2D Art, 3Art, Animation and Technical Art.

Each of the classes will be considered a "light" version (Example: Tech Art Light). The material that is taught in each of the tracks is considered foundational knowledge that ALL artist should know entering into the real-time entertainment/simulation industry.

At the end of the Bootcamp it will most likely be very clear to each artist what area of specialization they want to move into, so the Bootcamp experience not only teaches foundational skills that are needed but it also helps artist solidify what area of expertise they would like to move into.

BOOTCAMP BLOG CREATION – During your bootcamp experience, we will have you develop a blog that will allow for easy documentation of your work.

The blog will server a few functions for us, first it allows us an easily way for faculty to see all the FIEA artist work that is being generated, this will allow us to also do group critique session from one computer rather than a multi computer set up.

It will also server as a development diary for your time at FIEA. The tools and techniques you find and learn, if documented correctly will serve as returning point later on in your development. Many times you will lose knowledge of a tool or process if you do not use it one a daily basis, this is a means of retaining as much of the information you have gathered as possible.

Please see the video below for a how to guide for setting up your blog to our standards.
